Bean blossom honey
Bean blossom honey is an unusual choice for anyone keen to explore flavours beyond the best-known honey varieties. It is generally light and straw-coloured, with a distinct aroma of bean flowers. The sweetness feels restrained, while a delicate, pleasantly tart note may appear in the finish.
A rare find in the honey cupboard
This variety is made from the nectar of bean flowers, so it is encountered far less often than rapeseed or linden honey. Its botanical origin gives it a recognisable floral character that can vary with the weather, the foraging area and the individual harvest.
More than a breakfast spread
Pair it with cottage cheese or a mature cheese, or whisk it into a salad dressing. It also works in glazes and light sauces, where its subtle tartness balances the sweetness. And, of course, it is delicious simply spread over fresh bread.
Natural differences between batches are part of the character of varietal honey.
